I had an awful experience with the pharmacist at Med Pharmacy yesterday. From nearly the beginning of my phone inquiry, the pharmacist was rude, unprofessional and demeaning. Referring to himself, he used the phrase "and there's the brick wall" in explaining that because another pharmacist employee didn't check with him, a supply of a medication that had become unavailable in the 24 hours since I verified and had the script phone in could not be filled. He spoke down to me by saying flippantly, "I don't know if you've been following the news" rather than citing the national shortage in the ADD meds (of which I was aware). After a weak and dismissive attempt to offer alternatives, the pharmacist terminated the call while I was mid-sentence. To repeat, the pharmacist hung up on me. When I called back immediately to address his behavior, he accused me of "fighting" and again, patronized me by saying, "let me explain this again so that you understand" with a tone that suggested he was exasperated with the effort. He screamed that "I don't mess around...", told me to find another pharmacy and again...hung up. This pharmacist poorly represents his profession. This phone call was such a contrast to my initial experience with Lawrence which was positive and reassuring. After making several calls, I was so excited to find a pharmacy that could secure my daughter's much-needed meds, but this pharmacist made an already frustrating situation even sadder. I stared at my phone for several seconds after this shocking interaction. A neighborhood pharmacy customer myself, I believe in their value. Likewise, I trust that Med Pharmacy's other reviews are sincere, but I question whether they are attributable to the pharmacist that I spoke to yesterday.
